Teenagers Go Shopping for Luxuries
Gone are the days where luxury handbags are owned by only the elite working class women. These days, when I go shopping in Orchard road or any urban cities in the world, I see youngsters, teenagers and even young kids carrying luxury bags. Many of them have bags that are more than the monthly paid of a salaried worker. The world is becoming more sophisticated, or should I say, ‘brand conscious’.
I did some online shopping every now and then at reebonz and popped by their facebook for some updates. I am surprised that many of the customers are between the age group of 18-25. Ten years ago, this age group won’t be able to own a LV bag or a Gucci but now, it’s common to see a young teenage with a few thousand dollars handbag. How do they afford these luxuries, I wonder. With so many brands to choose from such as Prada handbags. Miu Miu, Chloe, Marc Jacobs, TODs, LV, Fendi and much more, many of these teenagers own more than one luxury handbag.
While there is absolutely nothing wrong to own these luxuries, I hope that they will know the value of money when they go shopping. Or has it become so easy for these teenagers to get what they want easily from their parents.
Shopping Deals for Mattresses for the Move
In the next few months, we’ll be looking out for shopping deals in bedding and home electricals. It’s a big decision to move to a new country and there are lots to plan too.
I’ve been checking out different brands of quality mattresses and bedding in the last few weeks. It’s hard to choose with so many luxurious brands out there – Tempur, Sealy, Simmons, Napure, King Koil… the list goes on. Mattress comes in various makes and material. We are currently using a Dunlopillo latex mattress and it has served us well for 10 years. But I’m now looking at the ones made of memory foam or innerspring or box springs. I am shocked at the price tags of some of these mattresses when I go shopping. Sometimes I wonder if I will spend $10K on a mattress when a $3K one can do the same job.
As for hubby, he’s looking out for shopping deals for audio visual equipment. We need a new plasma TV and amplifier for the house and he’s checking out some HDTV reviews. With the power of internet, it’s easy to find out the prices and quality of the products from review sites. Comparing prices is made easy and everyone can be a savvy shopper.
Hopefully I can grab some good shopping deals at the Perfect Living exhibition at the PWTC on 12-15 August in KL. This trip may save us some money since most retailers will be offering special deals during the fair.
Still Awaiting for My Dr Perricone Products
It’s been more than a month since I placed my order from Dr Perricone and finally, I see signs of package arrival! This is one of the hiccups when you go shopping online… shipment messed up, misplaced and a whole lot of reasons.
Well, I dropped by the local Dr Perricone beauty counter last weekend and the consultant was kind to let him try out the No Foundation Foundation. I was told that it was the bestseller cos it gives a natural coverage and provides a sunscreen of SPF30. So it’s like killing two birds with one stone. I have yet to try it out on my face due to my busy schedule but will do that once I have the time. This will come useful during my Perhentian trip on thursday as I’ll be under the sun most part of the day.
I’m packing up for the trip and it looks like I might need to shop for a new snorkeling set. DH is thinking of getting a pair of binocular when we go hiking in Bali so he’s checking out on some shopping deals online for that. After this Perhentian trip, we’ll be heading for Bali end August and that will be a break I truly look forward.
I’m not planning to go shopping this month or next so that I can save for a family trip in September. It’s been a dream to bring my entire family – mom and brother’s family – for an overseas trip and it looks like the plan is on!
Go Shopping Online at Apple Singapore
Free giveaways and promotional freebies – we love these phrases when we go shopping anywhere, don’t we? What’s rewarding about shopping online is that you often get good deals that aren’t available in the local stores.
I have been shopping online in the Apple Store and comparing prices among the various Mac models. First, I wanted a new MacBook Pro then I was attracted by the large working screen of the iMac. It’s a great machine to work and the clarify is tad impressive! After comparing prices among the various international stores, I thought I would buy it via the Apple Malaysia store. Then, I found out that Apple Singapore is offering a free iPod with a Mac purchase and I was thrilled! The iPod will start from RM779 in Malaysia so it’s a good shopping deal! Now I’m contemplating buying my iMac from the Online Apple store. Singapore cos this means savings of S$300 and more!
The thing about shopping online is that you should do a search on the product, read reviews and compare pricing. Chances are you will end up with a shopping site that offers you the best price for that product. Whether you plan to buy phentermine or any other product online, doing your homework will save you money and get you some cool shopping deals.
My Cold Plasma Order Shipped!
After a long wait of three weeks, I finally received a shipping confirmation from Dr Perricone! This is the thing I dislike when I go shopping online – delayed shipment but other than that, online shopping is great!
I managed to try on a sample of Dr Perricone’s Cold Plasma at the local counter here. I was happy about the smooth and fluid texture of the product. From the website, I found out that this is the result of a 5 years intensive research and it serves to address ten signs of aging which we are all concerned about:
• wrinkles
• enlarged pores
• dryness
• discoloration
• loss of firmness
• redness
• uneven skin tone
• impurities
• loss of smoothness
• loss of radiance
Among the ten signs, I have at least five of them so I figure that this is a product worth trying. The auto dropship promotion is attractive with a few freebies with the order. I am not surprised if Dr Perricone can come up with more inventions to address our aging concern and maybe new acne treatments for those who are suffering from bad skin.
Enough said, the one sachet of Cold Plasma sample was well absorbed by the skin and it did give a smooth finish. It isn’t a moisturiser so you need to apply a finishing moisturizer to protect the face after the application. I like the texture and it’s too soon to note a visible difference on my skin unless I continue the product for another few weeks.
Hopefully with my coming order of Cold Plasma for face and eye, I won’t need to go shopping for any more anti-aging stuff.
