If you are in a job that requires you to walk alot, a good pair of walking shoes is a must. It is essential to protect your tired feet, an often neglected part of the body. Always find shoes that keep you comfortable. It’s tempting to be a fashion-slave when it comes to choosing good quality walking shoes so don’t feel guilty if you are one of them. Here are some tips for you.

Don’t buy shoes first thing in the morning. In case you don’t know, our feet do expand esp on a hot day or at the end of the day. Somehow they do swell too as you get around your daily activities.

Check the size. Don’t just look at the size. Always try it on and see how your feet feels. Sizes can sometimes vary due to style, shoe brand, company, and the manufacturer.

Wiggle your feet. You should always ensure that your toes can wiggle your toes freely at the toebox

Walk with the shoes. Always put on both shoes and walk around the store. Walk as long as you can to make sure it fit well and does not present any discomfort.

Try with socks. If you intend to wear shoes with socks, make sure you try it with socks on. It’s better to bring your own :)

Don’t buy with the hope that the shoes will stretch. Buy only when your feet feels comfy, it shouldn’t feel tight. It is true that with leader shoes, your feet may stretch the shoes to fit, but this can cause foot pain and damage.
