Reflections on Perth, WA
We were in Perth last year for our family vacation. Even though I have been there so many times and did my postgraduate in Curtin for a year over, that lovely city never fails to charm me.
Shopping in Perth may be limited but nevertheless, you can still find selected International brands and works of some local designers. I never fail to hop into CountryRoad, Billabong, Roxy, to name a few. Fremantle remains a favourite and is a popular shopping spot for tourists too. You can find lots of artistic and handmade stuff with many surfing wear shops. The weekend market is a great place to find good crepes, local eats and fresh produce.
We also check out the real estate in the state after being warned of the rising property prices. Many luxury apartments have been built in the Swan River and Perth city area and they come with a big price tag too. Even dining has become more sophisticated with more hotels being built in the city.
Though we may not end up migrating to WA, I know I’ll be back to visit this charming city again.
