on urban living culture

A dinner conversation with a group of good friends tell me that many couples are tight to a loan of some sort – car loans, wedding loan, credit card loans, house loans being the most popular and personal loans. It is inevitable to acquire a loan at some point of our lives to meet the demands and needs of urban living. For us, we were fortunate to get a personal one from our parents for our house and the only loan we are tied to is for our car.

Actually, there is a rising popularity on debt consolidation loan especially with people with few credit cards. Many are transferring their credit card debts to a new card with 0% interest, which saves in the long run on high interest rates. I read from an article on how debt consolidation works and think it is helpful for anyone who needs some guidance in financial planning. Instead of paying to several loans, it is probably better to consolidate them and pay to one. It makes tracking of payments easy and sometimes, the banks may be running a promotion that comes with a low interest rate for that consolidation. You may also find these couple of articles: one is on personal loan and the other talks about how loans may be linked to emotional problems.

Are loans becoming part of our urban living culture?
