Finally, finally, finally… I can sit down to do this meme that Sesame of viva woman tagged me on. This is a great topic cos I don’t have to think hard for the answers… ok here you go, these are my beauty secrets (*wink*)

What five beauty products could you not live without?

Ahh.. not sure if I can stick to only five but if I must, they would have to be my Aesop cleaner, toner, eye gel/cream (day and night), Aesop Triple C gel (for day) and the Damascan Rose Facial Treatment (night) and my loose powder. If I can add one more, my eyebrow shaper.

What’s the worst beauty mistake you’ve made?

going for a free makeover at Shu Uemura one Christmas and I look at some teenage model wannabee – yikes!

What’s your skincare regime consist of?

A glass of apple-cider vinegar + honey in the morning and alot of clean water throughout the day. Cleanse and tone my face after my shower, moisturize and apply sun block. I need moisturizer for my hands and legs too – a must! I use only natural or organic skin care except for intensive treatment stuff which I use on periodical basis. A facial once a month (if I have the time!). Fruits and vegetables are a must. An exfoliating scrub on face and body on regular basis. Mask my face once a week if I remember.

Favourite beauty treat?

La Mer… and my collagen facial package. See, age is catching up so I need to invest a little leh. La mer was great but funny thing was when I used it for the 2nd or 3rd time, I didn’t see much improvement anymore so I stopped.

What’s your favourite beauty store?

Aesop, Whoopeekiddies online store (for organic and natural skincare and body care) and now, Benefits cosmetics.

Favourite budget brand?

Tea tree oil from Thursday Plantation. Zap out any blemishes, spots and pimples!

Favourite premium brands?

La Mer (but only for short term use); Le Clerc; Aesop

What’s your ‘every girl must own one’ item

Hard to narrow to one. How about three? Loose powder, eye brow kit, lipstick or gloss.

And hair care?

Aesop hair products are gentle and nice but lately, I found Aubrey conditioner and it is great. I’m still waiting to try my shampoo and conditioner from Burt’s Bees.

And finally, best beauty tip?

Eat right. Less junk or oily foods. Take more natural fruits and vegetables and lots of water, pure juices and caffeine free beverages. Cleansing your face well is essential, as getting sufficient sleep and rest. Most importantly, keep a positive outlook and stay cheerful. Nothing beats that.
