My friend’s wedding is coming soon and she is busy with all the wedding preparations – picking the right gown, floral bouquet, finalizing with the venue and guests’ list…etc. Then she showed me some of the dowry gifts from her parents in law… she opened up a treasure of gold.

Gold is still regarded as a precious gift on weddings in Asia. It’s a symbol of wealth and good fortune for many people.     I like gold coins myself, especially rare ones and not just run of the mill proofs.
