ethical and handmade jewelry

I learnt about Beaucoco yesterday from a blogger who owns a eco-goods blog. Being a fan of all things natural and eco-friendly stuff, I can’t help but to check out Beaucoco right away, an internet online store selling contemporary and ethical handmade jewellery who also embraces ethical trading or fair trade practice.

A quick glance of the collection tells me that these jewelries were delicately crafted by creative hands. Designer Bettina Bunce works around the world for major organizations, and along the way, she helps to develop creative skills and work opportunities with the less unfortunate and places with high unemployment.

Beaucoco will be working with an NGO in India who work with the poorest women from the slums of Delhi. The women collect and recycle plastic bags from the city dumps and Beaucoco is working with them to create a very contemporary range of jewellery to be launched on this site in the autumn. What an inspiration.

Here are some unique jewelry pieces that are carefully crafted from natural materials, crystals and semi-precious stones… and because each item is hand made from natural materials, precise colour, texture and dimensions will vary. Let’s support fair trade practice.
