shopping for activities

Today, I’m shopping for some activities in Big Island. From what I gather from all my Hawaii vacations brochures and online research, there are so much to do for those who love the outdoors. Since volcano visits are ‘a must’ in Hawaii, I bet it would be exciting to see one in a helicopter though I am still wondering what’s like to visit those active ones. Hopefully we can find a babysitter in the area to keep Clayton busy so that we can do a kayaking adventure off Kailua at Oahu. I can’t remember when was the last time I did that :)

Then, I would like to parasail on the coast of Kona or laze on the beach with my little boy. I figure he will be checking out his footprints on the sand or go hunting for sea shells - not sure if there is any. After which, we can cook up a nice, simple meal in our Kailua ocean front rental apartment. Most of the Kailua condos are priced reasonably with one bedroom ones which start from $226 at Hawaiian beach rentals. From the listings, I believe the one bedroom apartments are spacious enough for a family of four.
