my Erth Mineral Makeup Brushes

A lovely package came through my mailbox 2 weeks ago. I was away for 2 weekends but during this time, I had the pleasure to try out these two beautiful makeup brushes sent to me with compliments of Erth Mineral Makeup. I was so excited!

I’m a firm believer of using good quality brushes when it comes to makeup application. Poor quality brushes can affect the finishes on your face no matter how expensive or how good is your makeup. You should have a few basic brushes for different applications such as a broader brush for loose or face powder, one for eye makeup and a medium sized one for blusher.

Here are my two complimentary brushes: the Erth’s Chrome Kabuki Brush and the Erth’s Mineral Foundation Brush.

1) Erth’s Chrome Kabuki Brush

On the first touch, this broad kabuki brush feels super soft and smooth. For the price of only $14.95, I wasn’t expecting much initially and that was when I realized that good brushes didn’t have to cost an arm and a leg! The kabuki brush is short (2.35″) and has a wide diameter measuring 1″. Due to its broad tip and the softness of goat and sable, it brushes nicely across the face and offers an even distribution. I tried it on my pressed and loose powder and didn’t even need to use much powder to ensure a good coverage. Usually, I would feel a ‘coat’ of powder on my face when I apply it with my pressed powder sponge but using the kabuki makes my face look natural and ‘light’, without the feeling of having too much powder on my face. No wonder the kabuki brush remains the best seller for its great price!

2) Erth’s Mineral Foundation Brush

Since I’m a light makeup user, I find the Erth’s Mineral Foundation brush a handy one for applying my bronzer and blusher. This is a versatile multi-purpose brush that feels soft and great on the cheeks and face. Its size fits nicely in most makeup pouches and it’s great to use it for touch ups anytime of the day. It is made of sable and capra and for only $12.50, it is definitely a must-have in every women’s makeup kit.

To care for your makeup brushes, follow some of these tips suggested by Erth Mineral Makeup:

1. After use, wipe excess makeup from cosmetic brush

2. Use a quality makeup brush cleaner in order to clean completely

3. Dry makeup brush first by wiping on a dry, cotton towel

4. Then use fingertips to shape makeup brush bristles back into shape and to prevent feathering

5. Next, lay flat on towel to dry
