Some years back, I almost started a fashion business with a girl friend, who was keen to set up a boutique selling chic apparel for working women. While that was a great idea – something that I loved to do – we were apprehensive due to the high rental costs in departmental stores. At that time, online shopping was new not popular among the shoppers in this region thus, my friend decided to rent a small cart at a weekend flea market.

One of the popular stores at the flea market sells designer looking and fashionable sunglasses. From what I understood, these wholesale sunglasses bring attractive profit margins as the costs are fairly low – $8 – $10 a pair, depending on the order quantity. When I examined the sunglass, I was impressed with the quality and finish, which looked exactly like the one I saw in leading optical shops in town. I believed that explained why those sunglasses were so popular with the shoppers at the flea market which were looking for bargain buys.
