While my research for our Hawaii vacation continues, I read from some reliable sources that Kauai has lots os tasteful boutiques that can satisfy a shopping freak like me. While I appreciate the thrill of unique finds and rare hunts, I know driving around in a car to explore this beautiful island is the best decision. Though I wish we can book ourselves with one of the luxurious Kauai vacation rentals, we may only have time for a day trip to the Poipu resort are and Na Pali coast since we have two nights booked in our cruise cabin.

After reading much about the Waimea Canyon, I believe this is one of Hawaii’s most spectacular wonders which makes it a must see for the family. The travel guides suggest that renting a car is the best way to see and do everything on Kauai. Since the island is not that big, you can build wonderful memories with your family with proper planning and listing down what you want to experience together.

A great resource that I have found for travel to Hawaii and particularly Kauai is the “Kauai Menu Magazine.” It can be found in print on the island or on the web and it covers Dining, Art, Shopping, Entertainment, Accommodations and Travel information.
