shopping frenzy in LA
Finally, I got to the factory outlets in Camarillo yesterday after having lunch at a Chinese restaurant in LA county. We got there a little late and my first stop was Banana Republic, which was also the most crowded store in the entire area.
Since I could not check out more outlets via the internet in the cruise ship since there is a popup blocker attached to the filter, I wasn’t planning to do much discount shopping. I was shocked to see the long queue at the cashier in BR but after a quick glance at the discount tags, I could understand why. Apart from the ‘already discounted’ prices in the outlet, there was a further discount of up to 60% on the items. In other words, the casual tees were going at less than $10 after discount which explained why so many people were packing the shop.
I only wished I had more time in the area since there were many shops to check out - from Kate Spade (no good deals there), Movado, Kenneth Cole, Ann Taylor and more. I was glad to buy a pair of nice Diesel sneakers at $50 and a few sets of kids’ pj at half price.
My shopping frenzy in LA continues as the sale is still one til New Year’s day!
