Mineralogie mineral makeup review

Having been a faithful devotee of mineral makeup, I was truly delighted when my package from Mineralogie arrived in early December. I was then preparing for our long vacation but nevertheless, I made sure I had a few mineral makeup items packed in my vanity purse.

Unlike most of the mineral foundation that comes in round sifter jars, the one I received from Mineralogie came in an upscale acrylic square jar. Katie was so kind to send me the full size and she even customized the foundation shade for my skin tone. Though we had never met, her smart combination arrived to a Light Dune that gave me a very natural nude tone, and the result was a flawless finish. The weather in Hawaii and LA made makeup application a pleasant one compared to a humid climate like Malaysia. Nevertheless, I had been using Mineralogie mineral foundation in this tropical climate in the last few weeks and it was still offering me a natural look with the light coverage I desired.

Another item which I also recommend that you get hold of from Mineralogie is the Radiance Bronzer. Katie chose a beautiful shade for my skin tone – Apricot Toast – and the radiance bronzer was one product you could carry in your touch-up makeup kit. Add a gleamer on your cheeks, forehead or use it to highlight your features or even add that radiant glow on your shoulders… it was versatile and easy to use. It actually offered a healthy glow to tired skin and act as a fantastic highlight for that special evening you were invited to.

While Katie recommended Peach Shimmer natural lipstick, I suggested Jamaican Crazy, which turned out to be a bold orangy tone that I wasn’t used to… I should have accepted her professional advice on the Peach Shimmer! Then again, I could use Jamaican Crazy and tone it down with a light coloured shimmer or gloss.

I mustn’t forget to mention that all Mineralogie products are of high quality and the packaging are upscale and very professional in appearance.
