chinese new year and weight loss
So glad that Chinese New Year is over. This is usually a busy period for me as we travel from one place to another - not fun but it’s something we can’t avoid. For those who celebrate Chinese New Year, you are totally aware of all the new year goodies that you are indulging in during the first few days of celebration. From barbeque dried pork to pineapple tarts, egg rolls, peanut cookies and more, I often hear complains from my relatives that their waist lines are expanding during this time. It’s not a time of healthy eating but I often tell myself to take it easy since it’s not something you do everyday. I’m one of those who can’t resist shopping for the best cookies and pineapple tarts in town… especially made by the bibiks or peranakans.
In connection with healthy eating, regular exercise is also important to weight loss if this is your concern. If you are looking to lose weight, you should start an exercise plan for yourself. Exercise is important as it burns off calories. When you burn calories, the amount of calories that your body absorbs decreases. This is, essentially, what makes it possible for you to lose weight. If you havenÃt been exercising regularly in the past, it is important that you take it slow. Exercise is a great way to lose weight, but you do not want to overdo it, especially at first.
But like I said, do take it easy if it’s just a time of yearly celebration. After all, life is all about creating a balance.

If you overdo it at first, not only that you won’t loose weight, because this will make you even hungrier and besides, you’ll get to tired and have muscular pains. It happened to me so many times.
That’s healthy and easy
You could also do some more walking instead of driving

I completely agree. If you are already dieting, and you want to indulge, simply add a few more minutes to your exercise routine that day, and when I say a few, I mean less than 10. Don’t push it and end up setting yourself back. If we don’t indulge every now and again, we are setting ourselves up to fail.
