how about a new face on a new year?
The short excerpt of ‘New Year, New Face’ got me curious. “Korean women are celebrating the Lunar New Year with cosmetic surgery?” Are they serious or what, I thought to myself.
I have heard much about the huge Cosmetic Surgery industry in Korea but this piece of news still surprises me. Perhaps it’s because I’m not one of those who is willing to time off to do a nose job or facelift surgery so it amazes me to hear that people are taking the long holiday break to enhance their looks or appearances. I suppose it’s a good time for those who have been thinking about getting a cosmetic surgery done since the nine days break would mean a time of recovery without incurring any medical leave for the working women. According to the director of BK DongYang Plastic Surgery Clinic, it was reported that 90 per cent of the firm’s beds were reserved in advance by those who have planned to undergo cosmetic surgeries or treatments.
Not a bad idea to get a new face on a New Year, huh?
