my envelope shopping experience
I was supposed to shop for a few envelopes for my hand made cards but ended up, I came home with an envelope template, couple of stencils, a motif stamp and ink set and a swivel knife. The salesman at the shop was helpful and started demonstrating the use of certain craft tools which led me to investing in few products – all within half an hour.
I didn’t think I would end up with a swivel knife if he didn’t ask if I have the right tool for the envelope stencil. Turned out that if I didn’t buy the knife, there was no way I could make my own envelopes. I wasn’t sure if the sales guy had attended any professional Sales Courses but he sure impressed me with his customer oriented selling skills. In today’s competitive world, it’s important to overtake your competitors by investing in your employees through workshops and relevant training courses.
