my review: La Mer The Refining Facial

If you think that a skin cleanser, toner and moisturizer is all you need to keep your face radiant, smooth and clean, then it’s time to open up your minds. For years, I’ve always make a conscious effort to give my face a nice gentle scrub once or twice a week, depending on season and climate conditions. If I can recall, I’ve probably used more than a dozen types of facial scrubs and exfoliation masks.

Two months ago, I got hold of La Mer The Refining Facial during my trip to the US and since it sounds affordable ($75), I thought I should give it a go since my current exfoliating scrub seems to be too harsh in winter or dry climates. What I like about The Refining Facial is the fine texture which doesn’t make me feel like I’m rubbing anything too harsh or rough on my face. The presence of pure diamond powder and polished sea quartz gently exfoliates and I can feel the fine particles ‘polishing’ those less than perfect areas of my skin. My skin always feels smooth, clean and fresh after each use and I can immediately spot a brighter and radiant appearance.

If you ask me, $75 is a good investment if you are tired of those harsh scrubs you have used all these years and besides, it is only needed once a week and since it’s so fine, doing this treatment twice a week will not hurt your skin at all. Also, your skin deserves this little luxury to stay young, radiant and smooth
