This piece of information comes in so handy for me - just as I was talking about starting an online business. For those who own online stores that focus on mass distribution of products, one of the things to consider would be finding a space to store these items. For a start, most online store owners will keep them in one corner of their house or home office until the volume of sales increases.
One of the alternatives is to utilize the services of a fulfillment center if you do not want to rent a warehouse or permanent storage place. Sometimes, warehouse rentals can be costly and other times, your inventory may not justify the use of one. In case you don’t know, fulfillment center can also act as your wholesale book distributors and handles your purchase order processing. This would mean you have less operational details to worry about as you focus on building the other aspects of your business.
For me, I don’t think I would need to call on a fulfillment center for now unless things take a change and this piece of info may be reserved for future reference.
