staying niche
If there is one thing we have learned in our seminar business, it is the importance of having a niche in what you do. For our company, we have clients coming us when they are ’shopping’ for marketing, communication and customer service courses. We can’t be a jack of all trades and do things that we aren’t good at. Just like Global Knowledge, they specialized in business and IT training, including Cisco training and courses are conducted in training centers or web platform. In other words, clients can choose to receive their training in a classroom format or online, depending on their time availability and preference. So whatever business you do, always keep in mind that choosing a niche is essential.

Couldn’t agree with you more. You often see large buisness stray from their core niche only to find thier bottom line takes a beating. Eventually they get to a point they re-structure and refocus back on their core business. Those that dont often find the quick path to bankruptcy
