credit card shopping
Indeed, if a credit card is used properly, it can be the most powerful financial tool. In the past, not everybody can afford all the expensive rates of most credit card issuers offer but things are a little different now. In the past few years, there are more and more no fees credit cards being issued and somehow, this has become an attractive feature to bring in more customers.
It may sound funny but these days, you have to shop for credit cards like the way you shop for the best oven or vacuum cleaner for your home. Customers are becoming more savvy and well informed with more credit cards being introduced in the financial companies. With no balance transfer fee credit card, reward credit cards and fixed low interest credit cards, different people are drawn to different highlights every card brings. As such, we tend to compare the perks, features, rewards and additional benefits before applying for one. Before you apply for a card, consider the advantages and disadvantages especially with the current financial situation you are in.

With the credit crunch hitting Britain, everyone here is turning to cash purchases and tightening the purse strings. I personally don’t buy clothes unless I have the cash spare because I see credit cards as emergency funds (rent + food back-up). However, if you have a regular income, credit card shopping can be very sensible. Our accountant collects credit cards just in case!

you are right, credit cards can really be a powerful tool, if used wisely, but as they say, it can either be a blessing or a curse… with a credit card, if one is short on money, he/she can make purchases then pay for it after, whether in full or in parts. a lot though find it hard to control the ‘urge
to splurge’… we could also follow lindas example of using the credit card as a source of funds for specific uses… doing so could prevent us from developing bad financial habits….
