a wimbledon tournament in a vacation
All of us have gone through the stages where we dreamed to be a model, celebrity, an actress, singer or perhaps a famous sportsman. I was an athletic teenager who loved the sun, adventures, sports and hanging out with my friends. During my time, certain ball games were popular whereas games like tennis was considered an elite sport of the educated and wealthy. But I recalled watching Wimbledon on TV at my good friend’s house since she was a tennis student then.
Finally, I had a chance to learn tennis myself in my twenties and I had to admit that I picked up the game cos I loved tennis apparel and attire! They are too cool! Anyways, few years ago, my brother in law had a couple of extra Wimbledon tennis tickets and invited both hubby and myself. For me, it was exciting to watch the tournment during our vacation - mixing with the locals and doing things that most tourists won’t do! Watching the game live was something else especially when you were surrounded by fans, tennis enthusiasts and lots of cheer from the crowd. Though the seats didn’t belong to the premium rows, we were happy to experience the real Wimbledon game we had been reading in the papers all this while. If given the opportunity, I would love to be part of the crowd again one of these days - that was an awesome experience!
