I had just returned from a short trip to Singapore. It wasn’t a shopping trip this time though it was hard not to enjoy a bit of retail therapy. Once again, I was overwhelmed by the many clothing boutiques in and out of Orchard road. Somehow, I wasn’t impressed by a lot of those China imported or Korean imported clothing. Perhaps it’s because I’ve passed that age. Over the years, I had made many wrong decisions in buying clothes I don’t need and splurged unnecessarily on clothing that were worn only once. Having said that, I like this local clothing store GG5. They stock a nice collection of ready to wear casual and working clothing that are stylish, modern, fairly affordable and fashionable. Their simple coordinates such as the casual jackets, tops, skirts and pants are the favourites among working executives and modern women.

The Great Singapore Sale is still on so many of the branded boutiques are throwing handsome discounts of 20% or more. I even took my son to the Crazy Toy Sale at Takashimaya (picture coming) – it was really crazy! Not so much of the cheap toys that were out of grabs but the people were buying like ‘crazy’! Parents were literally carrying big sets of toys and playsets, remote control cars and children’s stuff for their kids. It was so overwhelming that I couldn’t helped but bought my son a Gas Station set.

Finally, I bought a few skin care items from Jurlique – the intensive recovery mask and the eye make up remover. My first question to the Jurlique beauty consultant was: Is Jurlique natural?
