Sure enough. This is the year where the two famous terms – credit and crunch – will continue to appear in newspapers, magazines and every other financial material. It is perhaps the time to tighten our belts and find cheaper ways to shop and more ways to save. One of my resolutions this year is, “spend less and shop more”.

So apart from shopping for cheap auto insurance and cheaper home insurance, I’m learning to shop from coupons and promotional codes. Sometimes, it is wise to shop for free trials or free giveaways to avoid buying things that don’t live up to your expectations. To take advantage of online shopping savings, always search online for promotional discounts before making your purchases.
