Love to Go Shopping in Singapore

I just got back from my lovely hometown few hours ago. Though it was another short trip to Singapore, I enjoyed myself and had a great time. It is hard to go shopping with a little child but I managed to pop by a few of my favourite stores and bought a few things.

Even though I make a point to be home every two or three months, there are always visible changes in the city. If you haven’t been to the republic for a while, you will be a little overwhelmed with all the huge and new shopping malls. For the sheer convenience, I have been dropping by Ion Orchard during my last few trips back. I did get lost in the mall during the first couple of times but after a while, I had no problems looking for my favourite stores. I bought two ‘one off’ tops and a turquoise toga top from Womb and that was all I shopped for. I wanted to go shopping in Uniqlo at 313 Orchard road after being told about Jil Sanders range but I just couldn’t find time.

Another cool place to visit would Orchard Central if you want to go shopping for youngish stuff. I particularly like to sit at the Gelare cafe while watching those rock climbers attempting their heights. There is a novelty store with nice water bottles and some custom travel mugs if you are looking for nice souvenirs. I must visit the huge paper and stationery store in the mall too.

With so many new malls in Singapore, the shopaholic can keep busy for a few days if she isn’t too tired. The Republic still offers any tourist good retail therapy to this day; you will be spoiled by all the choices you can find in these new malls in Orchard road. And you know what’s the best part, most malls are linked to the MRT and this is sheer convenience and a time saving advantage when you are on the go!
