Go Shopping for Luxury Bags

My girlfriend beeped me on msn and I was surprised to learn that she was in France and bound for Paris. I was away last week so I didn’t know that she was planning for the trip. She showed me a picture of her and her luxury shopping bags and told me that she was planning to go shopping for another two days in Paris. She was enjoying herself to the max!

In the past, not many people could own luxury bags including Louis Vuitton and Gucci, to name a couple. But today, you can see lots of teenagers and young executives carrying these luxury handbags. In a city like Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan, it is common to spot a young woman carrying a LV or Gucci bag in the commuter train. They aren’t cheap to begin with but they have become affordable as the standards of living in some cities have risen. I was reading up reviews on prevera when my friend beeped me on messenger. After learning that some of these luxury labels are cheaper in Europe, I was tempted to replace my lost Tod’s wallet. I was looking at the LV epi leather range but then a friend suggested the Bottega Intreccio wallet.

Though I wish I can go shopping in Milan and Paris for a Bottega Veneta but I would be just as pleased if someone can buy it for me at a good price. So I have decided on a Bottega Veneta cigar color intreccio nuvola wallet. You can now shop for luxury bags at Reebonz dot com and you would need an invitation to join the site.

Go Shopping for Dr Hauschka’s Products

I am happy to learn that I can now go shopping for Dr Hauschka products in Kuala Lumpur. Previously, I can only buy them when I am visiting Singapore but now, I can replenish my holistic skin care products without the hassle, though I’m not sure if the prices are dearer or cheaper.

SkinBotanica.com
I was told that Dr Hauschka’s holistic skin care is cheaper in Europe since it’s made in Germany. I find the products very gentle for my skin and I particularly adore the Regeneration series. Though it is marketed as the range for mature skin, I find it great for protection and early care as we are surrounded by more environmental pollutants these days. More people are seeking for holistic and organic skincare and I was amazed at same of the huge number of organic skincare labels in Hong Kong when I was traveling there 2 weeks ago. There is a store at Harbour City in Tsimshatsui and the store carries quite a few organic labels which I’ve never seen. I only wished I had time to check them out! This will be written in my little shopping checklist book if I travel to Hong Kong again in September.

Even though Dr Hauschka may not have a range for those with acne skin. The Rhythmic Night Conditioner helps to normalise excessively dry, oily or sensitive skin. It may not be the best acne treatment but it is great for problematic or sensitive skin. I usually use them a couple times a year as a skin treatment to acclimatize my skin to the harsh weathers and humidity of the Asia’s climate. If you plan to go shopping for organic and holistic skin care, don’t give Dr Hauschka’s products a miss!

Go Shopping in Hong Kong

I just arrived in Hong Kong few hours ago and it is nice to be back again. My husband volunteered to watch my boy for an hour and I could go shopping. I was delighted.

With that little time, I visited the Aveda beauty counter at Ocean Terminal to get a couple of hair products before heading for a look in the stores. I stumbled upon 45R, a cool and hip boutique and was attracted by a few casual and freestyle tops during that short time. Since I was traveling and I wasn’t too sure if I would come back to this place, I bought a high collar blouse. I hope to return to buy the cotton linen cardigan too. My husband warned me that the long distance movers will have alot to move if I buy too much stuff this trip as we are moving end of the year.

OK… I am looking forward to visit some shoe stores tomorrow. I love to go shopping in Hong Kong streets and malls cos there is so much to see. Jipi Japa, Camper and …. I hope to discover more!

Go Shopping for Sustainable Clothing

These days, people are more opened to buying handmade and sustainable products when they go shopping. In the past, shoppers weren’t willing to pay for ‘homemade’ stuff cos they are classified as ‘unbranded’ but time have certainly changed.

Ask if a piece of jewelry is handmade when you go shopping for accessories and chances are, if they are handmade, you may need to pay a little more. Promoting artisans goods and handmade products means encouraging more designers and craftsmen to share their talents and skills to a bigger community. The online shopping technology opens more doors for the promotion of fairtrade and sustainable shopping.

Sustainable fashion can also include indie clothing which includes retro and hip hop clothes made by budding designers or artists. If you are keen to go shopping for sustainable clothing, organic cotton clothing or eco friendly fashion accessories, check out BTC Elements.

Go Shopping for Camera Bag

In the age of facebook and twitter, it is pretty common to carry a digital camera or camera phone these days. My husband has been recording short video clips whenever we go shopping, dining or traveling. He’s decided to record all the daily moments for his reminiscence. I thought that was kinda cool :)

I’ve been hunting for a new camera bag these few days. I bought a crumpler camera bag three years ago whenever I got my first DSLR. It’s still serving me well but I would need a bigger camera bag if I want to fit in all my lens and accessories. You would know what I mean if you are a DSLR user. When we traveled to Phuket last year, my friend brought a couple of his telephoto lens and his Canon camera and everything could only fit into his camera backpack!

When I go shopping for camera bags, I tend to go for both the aesthetics as well as the functionality. Crumpler bags are nice and cool but they are rather pricey these days. I recalled buying my first Crumpler handsewn bag from the Melbourne store years ago and now, I may have to shop for a third one. Sad to say, Crumpler bags aren’t made in Australia anymore (it used to be when it first began). Then again, it hasn’t compromised on durability and functionality. Find them at Crumpler.com.au
