Love to Go Shopping in Hong Kong

It’s always so nice to go shopping in Hong Kong as all my favourite shops can be found in the mall and it’s so convenient to get around by foot or train.

Before our family trip, I make sure I bring an empty luggage so that I don’t need to carry a heavy bag after my trip. This time around, I don’t get to shop like I used to cos I have to look after three kids and an elderly person and she happens to be my mom. But it’s good that we get to spend some quality family time together and I can see that the kids are so happy. I did checked out some travel insurance and Medicare plan for them before our trip to make sure they are covered.

Hong Kong is such a good place to shop as they seem to have everything! Everything under the roof to be exact. I bought another Agnes B bag and grab a Mandarina Duck carry on bag at a good deal as they are closing their shops in Hong Kong.

We are leaving today and I’m done with my shopping. Looks like I need to wait for another two more years before visiting this urban and busy city again.

Go Shopping for Home Furnishings

This weekend, I took some time to do spring clean my house before putting it up for sale. There are a few things I want to do for the house but before I can go shopping for furnishings, I need to clean up the clutter!

One of my favourite past times is to shop for home furnishings and to visit home and decor stores. I often find it hard to resist the temptation of buying more curtains, more cushions, bed sheets, accessories, plants and accessories. It gets dangerous when I’m responding to home furnishings sale as I tend to shop more than I need! My hubby tends to be the more practical one who buys only what he needs. I left him to choose the right Robern Medicine cabinet for the house last time and he did a good job.

When I was in Bali last week, I was so impressed with all the artistic home accessories and furnishings. I almost bought the entire set of decorating bowls lined with colored mosaics! But then I had to remind myself that it would be hard to bring them back but my decision would be different if I was shopping for a new home! The next time when I visit Bali, I will be sure to bring an empty luggage to carry home some home artifacts.

Go Shopping for Cashmere Cardigan

Ah, I have been shopping online for more than five years and I have never lost one package until this round. Last month, I decided to go shopping for a cashmere cardigan and stumbled upon CashmereAngel based in Australia.

This site has some lovely cashmere cardigans and I had ordered one in time for my Bali and Hong Kong trip but due to the mail that didn’t arrive, I couldn’t use it for those trips. The owner was very nice to offer a refund when the shipment didn’t arrive after three weeks but I had asked for another one to be sent and this time, it would be by registered mail. If you plan to go shopping for nice cashmere tops or cardigans, CashmereAngel offers a nice range. Be warned that cashmere clothing isn’t cheap but you do pay for quality. And if you look after it well, it can last you a long time. During my last trip to Hong Kong, I went shopping in harbour city and almost bought a cashmere wrap cardigan and it was more than USD$350!

I’m going to Hong Kong next week for another trip with my family and while I bring them shopping, my hubby will be meeting up with a friend in industrial supplies business. I enjoy shopping in Hong Kong. The variety is fantastic and the pricing is good. I am planning to buy an iPad and a couple of digital photo frames during the trip.

School is out and the kids are on vacation for a week. Have fun in the malls for those who love shopping and if not, the beach and sun is always a fun place for the family.
