Shopping Wisely Offline and Online
In the past, if you ask me where to buy audio visual equipment, I would say, go to an electrical store and place your order. But ever since I found out private shopping clubs, I’m becoming a more savvy shopper.
Fair enough, I would go to the stores to check out the stock, feel the product, try it if I can, study the features…etc. But instead of trusting everything the salesperson is going to tell me, I would come home, do a search in the Net and compare the prices and features. You can’t buy out of impulse cos you may end up paying alot more. When I was younger, I buy lots of things out of impulse. Though I still do that once a while, I’m more careful now with making better shopping decisions and choices. I believe that in years to come, people will be buying things without living home like now. I was told that some people don’t even buy things in the stores anymore. Human interaction can be important and we get that from traditional shopping. So if you ask me, I think that’s still a good thing. But doing both things – shopping offline and online – would be much wiser thing to do! My hubby almost bought a set of stereo speakers early this year had he not seen the Klipsch set that was going on sale. He can be an impulse buyer sometimes.
I suppose it’s up to every individual when it comes to shopping options and preferences. What matters most is buying the right thing at the price you desire.

This afternoon, I have been busy getting some business cards printed via an online site and this is the first time I go shopping for business stationery online!
Well, I was getting too lazy designing a card from scratch and then I would need to find a printer to get the job done. So for eight boxes of business cards, we paid less than $50 and I thought that was a fantastic deal. Even if the quality isn’t up to my standard, I won’t feel so ‘sayang’. But I trust that it should turn out alright as it’s quite a big online printing company. I was telling hubby that the website is superb in upselling. They were always trying to sell me another item, from fridge magnets to promotional buttons, there are so many things to order from the site! I believe many people would be tempted to order a mug, a t-shirt or a set of note cards during the entire up selling process. It was so clever of the company! I like to learn how online companies market their services since we are in this field too.
Tomorrow I am going shopping for a photo book online. I would need to sit down to choose some photos for the photo book I had previously ordered from a deals site. Talking about online shopping, I just bought five items from another online store that was offering 70% off Reebok sportswear. Oh dear, I hope I’m not addicted to shopping online!

Many of friends think I’m crazy as I go shopping online in private shopping clubs these days. I think it’s great savings and after so many experiences with these private shopping clubs, I am excited to find more good deals every day!
It’s quite fun getting a shopping update on what’s on discount every day. An hour ago, I just bought a mystery item for only $3.99 and it’s free shipping too! They also said I could return it if I don’t like the item. I find it hard to go wrong with $3.99 – I can’t even buy a coffee with that price in some cafes! My hubby shocked me when a box from Catch of the Day arrived two days ago. He bought a box of ‘goodies’ from batteries to flashlight to bicycle water bottle. He was so happy that he paid less than $100 for all the goodies! I think he loves to go shopping in these clubs too! He even bought an attractive meal deal in some deals site last week. I noticed that there are lots of health and beauty deals online from these deals sites. Discounts for beauty services, slimming, gym and health products such as hgh releasers must be a real hit with some people!
For me, I love to go shopping for kids and organic skin care products. It’s addictive, I must agree so I do need to walk away for a while when I’m on the impulse to click and buy!

Free shipping always sit very well with me when I go shopping online and this is especially so if it’s free international shipping!
I just received an email from Net a Porter on their free shipping promo and it’s very tempting to buy an item or two to enjoy this promotion. In the past, I have to pay up to $50 for shipping and you can actually use that money to buy something of your desire! Most of the online stores offer free shipping within the US continental states but not overseas. It’s always attractive to know that you don’t need to pay alot for international shipping as it can get very expensive. I’m thinking if I should buy a Bottega bag but I am not so keen to pay those expensive customs and duties when the amount exceeds AUD$1000. Otherwise it makes more sense to deliver to Singapore and my best friend can bring it with her when she visits me end of May.
Well, I would need to spend some time looking through the online store after I check out y rv insurance online too. It seems crazy but I really don’t go out as much these days except for grocery shopping. It is just nice to go shopping at home and having it delivered at my doorstep!

Yea… autumn is officially here but the weather is still humid and warm. I thought I can go shopping for some woolies but I don’t think I need it for now.
I’ve been enjoying the private shopping clubs here and it’s been pretty fun checking out different sale promotions each day. Two weeks ago, I bought a pair of DKNY designer jeans for just $9.95! I am so glad that it fits me like a glove except for the length that needs alteration. My fitflop came two days ago and I only paid half price for it. I bought Clayton a few pairs of pants and each one is merely $10. With such savings at private shopping clubs, I am not planning to head to the shops in the near future unless there is something I need very badly.
I am actually looking out for some heated mattress pads in preparation for the coming winter. It may not be that cold here but still, we may need a light one for those cold nights. I prefer cooler weathers to warm ones cos a humid day can wear me down sometimes. In two days’ time, we’ll be off for our first outdoor family camp and I hope the weather wont be too cold for us in the night. We have been doing lots of outdoor stuff since coming to Brisbane since the shopping scene isn’t that attractive here.
