Go Shopping in Singapore and Hong Kong
Now that I’m confirmed going to Singapore in December, I have a big list of baking stuff to go shopping for. Bakeware aren’t cheap here and it is hard to buy certain things for Asian baking recipes.
Now that I have four chiffon tins, I would need to buy a few cookie moulds to bring home. My boy is so happy that he can go shopping for new toys and he’s even learning how to search for his favourite toys online. He told me that the source sells kids games and he’s asking if he can have something for his birthday. I can’t believe kids are so technology driven these days… are they taking after their parents? I think so!
Actually, I’m more keen to shop in Hong Kong than Singapore. It’s post Christmas sale time and I hope to buy some boots and winter wear back here. The winter wear here is just not as nice as the ones in Hong Kong and Japan. You can jolly well forget about shopping for winter stuff in Singapore – it would be expensive and scarce. I have to be careful not to overbuy as I don’t want to end up with things I don’t need. I think it would be better to just focus on food and go shopping less if I don’t want to give in to those temptations!
Go Shopping for a Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer
Every woman has an indulgence. Some go shopping for new shoes every month and some would add a new handbag every season. As for me, I would love to add a new household item every week… that’s my indulgence for now!
I have been thinking about this KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red. Isn’t she gorgeous? I have heard so much about this lovely help mate in the kitchen. It is so well priced in the states but this mixer is $795 when I last saw in Myers Australia! I know it would be way cheaper if I go shopping online. I’m really hoping there is a promotion this coming Christmas!
If I tell hubby how much I want this Kitchenaid Artisan mixer for my birthday and Christmas, he’s going to tell me that we would first need to get a
5th wheel insurance and thus, there’s no more budget for my new mixer.
But know what, I would still go shopping online to check out for a good promotion as I’m determined to get one of these for my kitchen and to satisfy my baking addiction. It’s a lovely mixer after all, don’t you agree?
Go Shopping for Convenience
Finally, after a long wait of five weeks, the cookie book I ordered had arrived. I like to go shopping for books online for the sheer savings but sometimes, I wish they could expedite the shipment for these books.
The Good Cookie by Tish Boyle was what I got and I hope to bake some of the goodies in the book this coming week. Since it’s friday today and we are going to a friend’s house tonight, I decided to bake a cake and after a long search, I had settled for a Japanese soft cheesecake. Friends ask me where I got all my recipes and I often point them to Big G. I mean, where do you go when you need to shop for engagement ring insurance, the internet, of course. It’s convenient, fast and easy. Even when it comes to finding a product, the internet saves you time on your searching process. In the past, people use it to gather information, and these days, people go shopping online at their convenience. Times have certainly changed.
Now that I’m going home in December, I won’t go shopping here in the next two months. After all, Asia is a cheaper and better place to shop for apparel and my favourite things!
Go Shopping in Singapore in December!
It’s the weekend and my fingers are itching for more baking again! I think I would have to go shopping for more free range eggs if I am going to bake some more chiffon cakes and it’s just something I love doing!
I feel extremely relaxed when it’s a friday and I feel so light and easy! Tomorrow we will be heading to the city for Brisbane festival and would stay for fireworks in the evening. I believe it would be a nice day and I can’t wait to have a nice hot chocolate by the river! I have to do some online shopping later for last minute father’s day gifts and I am looking a site selling wheels and tires. It’s hard to find the right gift for hubby but let’s hope my boy bought him a good one so I don’t need to get another for him!
More time to go shopping in December cos I’m going back to Singapore… can’t wait to eat and shop in Orchard road and do the things I love doing. Six weeks will be a long break and it’s been a long time since I spend so much time back home. I must discipline myself not to shop or buy too much but is this possible when there’s so much choices out there!
Go Shopping Online in Private Clubs
Shopping in private clubs can be a fun thing to do but you need to exercise self control so that you don’t get carried away. I like to go shopping in private clubs because it does save our family lots of money but sometimes I end up with stuff I don’t need!
With today’s internet technology, you can search any shopping sites with ease and as a user, you should also use it to check reviews of products you plan to buy. This is especially so for household stuff where you don’t want to end up with an item that doesn’t perform. I know of friends who use Zyngle free dating online to get to know more people and the teenagers in my neighbourhood watch youtube videos during their free time. Though I’m not a big fan of online videos, I believe this is the future of the next generation as far as communication is concerned.
These days, I try not to browse the private shopping club emails I received. I don’t need anything so I won’t go shopping for now. One of the ways to stay away from this sort of temptation is to keep myself very busy!
