Go Shopping for my a Pressure Cooker
I have been quiet… I have been busy and yes, I did go shopping online and my latest buy? A Tefal Clipso Easy Pressure Cooker. And I am loving it!
Since I bought the pressure cooker, I have been educating myself with recipes on this new cooker and I love the yummy dishes I had cooked up so far! From curries to soups, my Tefal Clipso is been a great item to have in our kitchen and my husband is so happy with my online purchase. At first, he wasn’t pleased that I bought a pressure cooker online but after cooking him so many yummy curries, he had changed his mind! Now, I can’t wait to try out another new recipe on the cooker and it’s such a great help in the kitchen!
I told so many friends that I went shopping online for my pressure cooker and convinced them to do the same… but they weren’t too comfortable about it. I suppose there are still many who won’t shop online and I guess they don’t know the savings they are missing! My uncle bought a receipt printer and he was happy about it. I bought so many things online and so far, I have had many good experiences.
Enough of my shopping and indulgence, I did not go shopping for clothing last few weeks and I’m actually very happy with myself!
Love to Go Shopping for Home
I have to tell you that I love to go shopping for groceries! The supermarket aisles are such lovely places to browse, choose and pick. It’s relaxing to a certain extent until you hit a long queue at check out!
Well, I ordered some cookbooks online the other in one of the online shopping clubs and I can’t wait for them to arrive! My little boy loves to peep in to my kitchen and I thought it would be nice if I teach him how to cook when he’s older. Mothers are teachers at most times and it can be wonderful learning curve as well. My husband used to do some rougher things with my son and they talk about home automation systems and security stuff. In fact, we need to work a bit on that in the next few months.
I was taught that if you wanna teach a child cooking, you need to first think safety. Any child that has to stand on a stool or chair in order to reach the stove is too young to cook. Start younger children off by letting them help set and clear the table, gathering ingredients, and stirring, mixing or adding ingredients.
Create a relaxed atmosphere that is fun when teaching your kids to cook. Remember what it was like when you were learning to cook? Chances are, you made a few messes and broke a few dishes. It happens. Learning to cook should be fun, not drudgery, although there are certain responsibilities that go along with the privilege, such as cleaning up as you go along, and leaving the kitchen clean when you’re finished.
Start with the basics. Show your kids what the different utensils are used for, and the right way to use them. Teach them about herbs and spices, and using the right ingredients for the right dishes. Cooking is a great way to learn fractions and chemistry, and your kids might not even realize they’re learning while they’re having fun!
Begin with simple recipes. There are some great cookbooks for kids on the market today, that include step-by-step instructions and pictures so kids can see what something’s supposed to look like while they’re assembling the recipe…let success build on success.
Go Shopping for my Organic Fruit and Vegetable Box
My hubby almost fell off the chair when my organic fruit and vege box arrived at our doorstep yesterday. He knew that I love to go shopping online but he didn’t expect me to shop for vegetables and fruits online too!
In the last few months, my spending online has gone up and I’m enjoying shopping without leaving my home office! It’s enjoyable and convenient. I have been shopping for organic vegetables in the stores but it’s just too much of a hassle cos I have to drive far to get a few items. So I decided to shop online and found a few home deliveries. After some research, I chose one online store that offers the lowest delivery charges and in less than 24 hours, the organic fruit/vege box arrived at my doorstep!
How I love today’s online technology! It’s made my life easier and I don’t have hunt around for my organic carrots and tomatoes anymore! My cousin was searching for mothers day present for wife and I suggested that he went online to find the perfect gift! This afternoon, I had a delivery slip in my mailbox and it looked like my private shopping club purchases had arrived too! Next week, I’m expecting a few more deliveries from a couple of online stores and I know my hubby isn’t going to be very happy!
Go Shopping for Fans and Herbs
These few days have been amazingly warm and humid and all I want is to jump straight into the swimming pool! I’m feeling the heat when I go shopping for groceries and anything. And I’m feeling that it’s nicer to be sitting at home doing some online shopping.
I found myself searching online for shopping deals for fans and coolers. We left our old fan with the new owner of our house and so it’s time to find one ourselves. There are some really cheap ones in stores like K Mart and Big W and I told DH that it’s hard to go wrong with a $13 fan! Even if it plays up after a few uses, it’s only $13 and most of the time, they will last for a long time than expected. I went online and saw some Hunter fans and we’ll see if we need one in the next few days. The weather is probably caused by the heat built up by the cyclone in the Far North and hope it cools down soon. In any case, autumn is just one month away and it should feel better soon.
I went shopping for some herbs and pots earlier on and wondering if I should exchange my cheap pots for some self watering ones. I haven’t heard many good things about self watering pots but I think I should research to find out more. Meantime, I’m happy with my herbs and I can’t wait to repot them and see them grow! I have mint, basil, rosemary and I think I’m going to buy more in the next few weeks! With these herbs, I don’t have to buy any of them in the supermarket and if I take good care of them, they will last me a long time!
Go Shopping for the New Home
When I go shopping with hubby, we are both in our own departments sourcing, researching and comparing prices for the things we need. Whenever I’m at the shops, I’ll be shopping for kitchenware and home furnishings and he will be in the audio visual section.
After weeks of shopping and researching in the audio visual stores, he had finally decided on what he wanted for the home theater. He was shopping for home audio speakers and he got a good deal in Clive Peeters for a set of Klipsch. He also chose his LCD LED tv and that will all done for his audio visual shopping. As for me, I got a block of Scanpan knives for our new house though I still prefer Henckels for the fine quality. Since David Jones is having a mid year sale, I bought a good set of Scanpan cooking sets at 50% which is a good deal for the quality. There are still some small things we need to get to make the house complete.
Hopefully I can head to harbour town again for some home furnishings shopping since the discounts are very attractive in the outlets. I still can’t believe that I bought a couple of Elle Macpherson lingerie for only $20! That was a real bargain!
