Mother’s Day Celebration

Last Friday, I volunteered to help out in the Mother’s day event in school. It was a fun time for all moms and kids as they lined up at the photo booth to have their photos taken. Some go shopping for little gifts in different classrooms and booths while some just enjoyed the pampering services such as massage and manicure.

It was nice to snap photos of those smiling faces with my nikon DSLR and I was glad the weather was perfect for photo taking! My mothers were well equipped with compact digital cameras as they also wanted to capture those happy moments spent with their kids. Many brought a plate to share and there were so much yummy goodies for everyone. It was a casual but meaningful celebration.

Mother’s day has always been quiet for me and this year, my son bought me two key holders from the school’s mother day stall and he made a very beautiful card for me. We had a nice Japanese dinner at Sunnybank hills and the day went on very well. Embracing the calling of a mom isn’t easy yet it is noble and special. I am thankful for what God has blessed us with.

Go Shopping Online Can be Addictive

I know hubby is going to freak out if he knows that I’ve added another Bottega Veneta bag to my collection. But he’ll be pleased that I’ve used my paypal income to reward myself with that bag I have desired for a long time. I love to go shopping online at these private shopping clubs cos the savings is huge and my dollar can go a longer way.

In the last few months, I bought some cheap and good stuff from several online shopping sites and so did hubby! Sometimes I have to remind myself that I don’t need some of those special items but I’m glad that so far, we’ve always buy things we need. Some friends of mine buy big items online but I’ve not got close to that. Hubby is already talking about buying online business online. In fact, he’s been shopping for weeks to find the right one! We were jesting with each other that we are graduating from private shopping clubs to buying virtual real estate! I know my uncle likes to buy buy swisher sweets cigars online for the good prices and my girl friends buy lots of children’s clothing from US online stores. I’m contemplating shopping for a pair of Oakley sunglasses to replace my broken one.

The truth is, it is hard not to ‘go shopping’ when you are working at home, facing the computer all day! It is in fact addictive and it does help if you put the credit card away from your desk so that you can allow yourself to think through before getting into the impulse shopping mode!

Taking Care of Yourself

Taking care of your body means taking care of your self and for that you donĂt need to put extra effort, you don’t need to put extra hour of your work schedule. Only you need to put is the minimum required attention. You need to regulate your life style, you need to discover the ways of living, and you need to monitor yourself with proper care.

Here are few tips that make you a noticeable personality in the crowd and your body healthy, sexy and overall beautiful.
1. Drink 8 to 12 glasses of water everyday, having more water means feeling less hungry, consuming less food and hence being fit in shape and always looks energetic.

2. You can drink water in a regular interval of half an hour or so, while in office or traveling long, keep you water bottle with you.

3. Take balanced diet rich in carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and good fats.

4. Cut on calories; don’t take food that gives high calories and fewer nutrients. If you stick to this, you may not need diet pills at all.

5. Nutrients are necessary to keep you away from sickness and thus helps in being beautiful

6. Mix honey in water, and drink it daily in the morning. This will keep your skin shiney and smooth.

Go Shopping for Gym Classes

In the next one month, I plan to go shopping for a good health gym in my region. It’s time to learn something new while getting back to some rhythmic exercise and pilates. I miss my pilates exercises and can’t wait to get started in a group class.

There are many fitness tips as the start of the year sets in. Healthy food options and diet are both important steps to follow. There are also tips that fake a healthier and trimmer body such us allowing a fake tan or bronzer! I’m not familiar with that but people are using sunbeds to get a tanned skin so as to look slimmer. Perhaps I should also go shopping for a set of kettle bells to tone up those forgotten muscles on my arms. Building my core strength is next and that’s why I need to head to Pilates soon! Some people are into extreme weight loss pills if they have excess fats to loose but if you don’t belong in that category, go for a trampoline which teaches you coordination and helps to burn off tension!

If you are shopping for a good gym to go to, you aren’t the only one. I’m on the look out for the best deals and with competition, many gyms are offering attractive promotions that entice. Free month use and extra bonuses are the things to look for if you want better value for your money!

Go Shopping and Finding Good Deals

The year end clearance sale is almost over but still I would go shopping and find great deals out there! It feels nice to find great deals, isn’t it?

What I found out over here in Brisbane is that you need to do lots of price comparisons when you are out shopping. Interestingly, you can find substantial savings from one store to another with a few footsteps away and thus it makes sense to be a smart shopper. When you take time to compare, you can save heaps over one shopping trip which gives you better value for your money. I have been busy settling down with the new home that I haven’t had time to go leisure shopping. I am glad that a huge shopping mall is just across my house and my retail therapy isn’t too far away. I need to exercise self discipline as it’s tempting to step out and go shopping whenever I feel that I need a little space! Once everything is settled in the new home, I would need to get on with work in the new home office and start reading some diet pill reviews for some new sites in my list.

Today, I should go shopping for my son’s new school shoes and get him ready for school next week. Once school starts, my time should free up a bit and I can do more to furnish the house and put things in place. I miss good shopping in Singapore though!
