high end watch indulgence

Lately, I find myself taking a peek at high end luxury watches in the web as well as fashion magazines. I’m not sure if the indulgence spirit is working in me or it’s just that time of the year where I’m feeling the urge to reward myself after a hard year’s work. I finally brought myself to buy a Roadster at a very good deal from a friend. Since, I’m watching designs from Audemars Piguet, Chopard and Jaeger. But for now, I don’t think I can afford any of these super high end ones – not sure if adorning myself with a diamond watch is safe at all in my country!

I just came back from lunch with my good friends which was a nice thing to do on a relaxing weekend. During the lunch, we started discussing about real estate and luxury watches as he had bought a new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duetto watch for newly wed. The reverso duetto is a feminine and elegant timepiece that provides two different styles and looks for the lady who likes versatility. Dress it casual on the weekends or daily wear or reverse it to the diamonds lined formal face on a dinner function. Like what DH said, this was a great two-in-one watch and he thought was a better choice than a Rolex Oyster. I guess the conversation has got me interested in finding out more about the other styles by Jaeger-LeCoultre. I like the reverso design but still wondering if it’s too feminine for me :P Or should I just stick to my Cartier Pasha…

should I buy my Cartier Pasha?

Are you one of those who can’t leave home without wearing a watch? I used to until I became a mom… that was the time when getting ready to go out was always done hurriedly and my priorities were to get all that the baby needed. Since, I have neglected this habit of wearing a watch. Besides, my cell phone serves as a time teller for me. But I am still ‘lusting’ for my Cartier Pasha which is just the kind of watch that suits me. I don’t fancy small face watches though there are many stylish choices in in the marketplace these days. I’m still that sort who prefer things with a character and Cartier Pasha fits the bill! One thing I know, do not get an automatic watch if you are not that sort who wears one everyday. It’s just too much work and hassle having to keep winding the watch whenever you need it.

what is your favourite watch?

What is your favourite watch? Or do you have a dream watch? I used to want to own an Omega Lady’s Speedmaster, endorsed by Michelle Wie and few other celeb sportswomen but I’m turning my eyes to the Cartier Pasha :) I like the Omega for its sporty look and subtle touch of feminine influence while the Cartier Pasha is modern, bold and confident. Both are elegant and classy in their own rights, it’s just a matter of affordability and taste. Read more
