Cactus plants come in a dazzling array of types and sizes. We sell both miniature potted cacti for indoor decorative purposes and larger specimen such as prickly pear for use in the garden. But beware that cacti will struggle in cold, wet climates. Light is another crucial factor for the health of cacti — most cacti require a lot of sunshine.

If you can’t ensure your cacti get enough sunlight, you can supplement the plant’s light intake with full-spectrum fluorescent lights. Of course, the best place to grow cacti, and any plant, is in their native habitat. Many cacti will therefore thrive outdoors in Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Elsewhere, follow the supplied growing instructions closely to avoid your plants failing.
